50 Cent confirms the multi-part Diddy documentary he produced is landing with Netflix after a purportedly massive bidding war.

Rapper and actor 50 Cent has confirmed what he’s been hinting at for months: the multi-part documentary he produced about Sean “Diddy” Combs and the increasingly mounting sexual assault allegations against him is on its way — and it’s landing at Netflix.

Multiple sources have confirmed TMZ’s report, including 50 Cent himself, that Netflix purchased the highly sought after documentary, produced via Fifty’s G-Unit Film and Television Studios. Several networks and all major streaming platforms made their bids to land the series.

50 Cent has been very vocal about the onslaught of allegations against Diddy, taking to social media to comment on just about every lawsuit that’s cropped up against him since Cassie Ventura sued him for sexual assault in November. Diddy settled Cassie’s lawsuit only a day after it was filed, and it’s easy to see why — footage of an attack described in her lawsuit surfaced last week, confirming some allegations Combs had been quick to refute.

Combs quickly released an apology video after the footage surfaced, which has perhaps done more harm than good, with the rapper apologizing for behavior he previously denied outright. Several celebrities have commented on the apology video on social media, asserting that Combs seems to be apologizing for getting caught, rather than the behavior the video revealed.

News of 50 Cent’s documentary could not be more timely, as Combs has been hit with yet another lawsuit this week. Model Crystal McKinney came forward after the 2016 footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie surfaced on Friday. And Diddy still has a handful of other lawsuits to settle, despite denying the accusations against him.

Though many onlookers assumed that 50 Cent was merely trolling Diddy, news of the upcoming documentary reveals the former’s interest in the latter’s woes wasn’t just circumstantial. That tracks, given that the two rappers have been at each other’s proverbial throats for nearly 20 years. In 2006, 50 Cent released his diss track “The Bomb,” in which he claimed Diddy knows who killed The Notorious B.I.G.
