As the hours passed, all the feline inhabitants of the street rushed to witness the most enticing performance.
A home much appreciated by cats
Although he doesn’t have one, Con Keramidas is still a regular with felines. Daily, he sees them wandering in front of his home, out of simple curiosity or in the hope of getting a small reward . Two cats in particular are regulars. They are neighbors’ cats and do everything together, although they do not belong to the same owners. In their daily walk, they always make a furtive stop near the windows of Con , to peer inside and take stock of what might interest them.
One morning, very different from the other days, the two cats remained posted for several hours in front of the Australian’s kitchen windows.
Squid: a dish highly coveted by feline palates
That famous day, Con was working on making a very special recipe: seasoned squid. With all the care that this recipe requires, the Australian applied himself to washing the fish, cutting it, then cooking and seasoning it.
As if fascinated by the scene, the two cats settled down to follow all the steps and not miss anything. It was Con ‘s son , also a cat lover, who warned his father of the presence of these unexpected spectators.
A multitude of felines at the rendezvous
Quickly, the 2 known cats in the neighborhood were joined by other felines from the surrounding area. Attracted by the smell of fish, cats and kittens responded to the call of their stomachs. In total, the felines remained posted in front of Con ‘s kitchen for 5 hours , “until 9 p.m.” for some. No doubt with the idea of tasting the dish, the cats left empty-handed.
Since this episode, the two cats at the origin of the gathering have made regular visits to Con and sneak a head near the kitchen, praying that a small piece will be intended for them.
