In the morning, while I was feeding the stray cats, a new face appeared. It was a cat that I had never seen before, and it seemed to have just wandered here. I was shocked to see the cat moving around with a severely injured body. Specifically, the cat had lost its tail, and the wound was still bleeding. However, the cat didn’t show any signs of pain or fear; it even approached me and meowed to request food. The other stray cats here are usually healthy and well-behaved due to our care. But in the case of this cat, it needed immediate medical intervention.
After the cat finished eating, we placed it in a cage and took it to the veterinary hospital. The cat cooperated when receiving help and didn’t resist. The veterinarians spent over 3 hours cleaning the cat, carefully removing the tangled fur from the wound and disinfecting it. Despite the obvious pain, the cat remained resilient. We praised the cat for its bravery; it was an extraordinary warrior. Despite being somewhat anxious and fearful, the cat remained calm when we petted it.
Next was the cleaning of the eyes and nose and administering vaccinations. Fortunately, the cat didn’t have any serious health issues apart from the major wound on its back. The doctor instructed us to take careful care to avoid infection. Afterward, the cat was discharged and returned to the rescue team.
The other cats are very curious about this new friend. We arranged a separate, warm, and comfortable sleeping place for the cat. For the first time, the cat meowed as if expressing gratitude to us. Don’t worry, rest well, little friend. I believe you will soon fully recover and no longer have to go through the difficulties you experienced before.
