After seven seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, Cooper Kupp’s time with the franchise has come to an end. The Super Bowl-winning wide receiver was officially released on Wednesday, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his NFL career.
While Kupp prepares for his next opportunity, his wife, Anna Marie Kupp, took to social media to share an emotional and heartfelt message, praising her husband’s leadership, work ethic, and impact on those around him.
Anna Marie’s Message: ‘Any Team Would Be Lucky to Have You’
Shortly after the news of Kupp’s release broke, Anna Marie posted a touching tribute on her Instagram Stories, making it clear that she believes in her husband’s ability to thrive wherever he lands next.
“You have the ability to turn the tides of any organization you step foot into,” she wrote. “The man that you are, the leader that you embody, the brother on and off the field. The standard you hold yourself to and bring others along in your pursuits.”
She continued, highlighting Kupp’s infectious passion for the game:
“People want to be better because of who you are and how you conduct your business. The joy and passion you exude in your preparation and your execution is contagious.”
As Kupp now faces uncertainty in free agency, Anna Marie remains confident in his ability to make an impact elsewhere:
“I am so excited for the impact you will have in these coming years. The relationships waiting for you. And for you to continue to tear apart your opponents. To the moon, my King.”

A Storied Career with the Rams Comes to an End
Kupp was drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Eastern Washington and quickly became one of the most reliable receivers in the league.
His breakout 2021-22 season remains one of the greatest individual performances in NFL history, as he recorded:
- 145 receptions (career-high)
- 1,947 receiving yards (career-high)
- 16 touchdowns (career-high)
- NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors
- Super Bowl MVP honors after catching two touchdowns in the Rams’ Super Bowl LVI win over the Bengals
Despite injury setbacks in the following seasons, Kupp remained a key figure in the Rams’ offense. However, his 2023 season was cut short, as he finished with 67 catches for 710 yards and six touchdowns in just 12 games.
With the Rams struggling early in the season, Kupp was rumored to be on the trading block, but Los Angeles ultimately held onto him through the trade deadline.
Following the Rams’ Divisional Round playoff loss to the Eagles in January, Kupp addressed speculation about his future:
“Who knows what’s going to happen,” Kupp said, according to ESPN. “I feel like I’ve got a lot of good football left in me. I’ll be playing football next year. That much I know.”
Gratitude for the Rams and Los Angeles
Beyond Anna Marie’s tribute to her husband, the Kupp family also took a moment to thank the Rams and the city of Los Angeles.
Anna Marie, who married Kupp in 2015 and shares three sons with him, posted a joint tribute video on Instagram—reflecting on the memories and relationships they built in Los Angeles over the past seven years.

What’s Next for Kupp?
With free agency in full swing, Kupp is now one of the biggest names available on the market.
The Rams, meanwhile, have wasted no time restructuring their offense, signing former Jets star wide receiver Davante Adams to a two-year, $46 million deal to pair alongside Puka Nacua and Matthew Stafford.
As for Kupp, he remains focused on his next opportunity, with teams likely lining up to add a proven veteran playmaker to their offense.
For now, Kupp and Anna Marie are embracing the uncertainty together, ready for the next chapter—wherever that may be.
