General Hospital fans can’t feel happy for Sam and Dante knowing Sam’s death is coming soon.
The clock continues to tick for Sam, as fans breathed a sigh of bittersweet relief when she turned out alive after her transplant surgery for Lulu. On Tuesday’s episode of the ABC daytime drama, Sam is still alive and recovering in the hospital. Dante was there visiting as the two had a chat, he told her he had a special question to ask her.
It was then that Dante whipped out a box with a ring and opened it as he asked Sam the fateful words: “will you marry me.” Sam looked surprised at the proposal and questioned why he was asking her this now especially when she’s on a lot of painkillers. Dante responded jokingly that yes, he knew and was hoping that would work to his advantage.
The two shared a laugh and Sam fondly called him “smart.” Dante said sincerely that he meant to ask her when she woke up. After Sam joked some more about the romantic setting, she let Dante know that it’s okay that he still loves Lulu.
