Dr. Sean McNally, a renowned plastic surgeon, dished out an exclusive to Daily Express US concerning country superstar Carrie Underwood’s noticeably changed visage.
The same expert who unraveled the mystery behind Melania Trump’s ‘snatched’ look, Dr. McNally spilled on what could be accounting for Underwood’s “changing face,” something fans have been buzzing about.
Spilling the tea, Dr. McNally mentioned, “First, it’s important to note she had an accident in 2017,” which alludes to the calamitous tumble that saw the soon-to-be American Idol judge undergo reconstructive facial surgery.
After her fall, the scar became a new feature on the star’s face, tracing a line from her left nostril to her upper lip, with “40-50 stitches” required to mend the aftermath.
In recent times, Underwood’s look has stirred up some heated commentary, especially post her performance at Donald Trump’s second inauguration on January 20. Moreover, footage surfaced of the singer side-stepping a handshake with none other than Kamala Harris, reports the Express US.
Yet, Dr. McNally poured cold water on the assumptions of any significant nip and tuck, as he doesn’t spot tell-tale signs of major cosmetic work.
He laid out his assessment saying: “Looking at before and after photos, I don’t see any concrete evidence of surgical intervention other than her stated reconstructive procedure.”
Points of dramatic difference in her look can be seen around her eyes and lips, but McNally chalks it up to “She looks dramatically different around the eyes and lips, but this could be chalked up to simple lip filler and improved makeup.”
With a nod to the less is more approach, Dr. McNally leans towards non-surgical tactics paired with a staunch skincare regimen for the celeb’s age-defying appearance.
He further commented: “I have no doubt she’s keeping up with a solid skin care regime and non- or minimally-invasive treatments to slow the aging process just like everybody else in Hollywood and the music industry.
“But a big surgery like a facelift or rhinoplasty? Don’t think so,” the plastic surgery expert revealed to The Express.
